Dr Angus couldn't believe his luck when his wife Denise returned from the Australian Association of Practice Managers annual conference in Adelaide saying she '….had found the solution to realising his dream' and that '….the one stop shop will design, steer Council and manage your project from site planning right through to the completed functional practice'. This seemed too good to be true and without hesitation Don came to us to discuss his brief.

It quickly became evident that the brief was specific to the point where commitment relied upon our ability to retain and maintain his existing practice all the while constructing the newly planned building around him. This would require delicate planning and intense Council liaison and participation.

A Strategic Management Plan was required.

Firstly, we established that the remaining unused site area available to the rear would service the building footprint required to 'house' the space planned internal fit out and meet Council's car parking and side and rear boundary setbacks for approval.

Secondly, propose a building concept that would satisfy the Town Planning Scheme's maximum front boundary setback. To do this we proposed a design allowing the new building to be 90% completed, letting Don to relocate into this new space while we demolished the existing structure and completed the building and external works.

All of the initial Council enquiries, ongoing negotiations, meetings and applications were handled solely by Medifit allowing our Client to continue on with business as usual.
